Sock Hop dance at the Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post on Wallace
Springs Road Friday, May 11, 8
p.m. - midnight. Farrell Watts will
be Sock Hop DJ. Sue Davidson
will teach Stroll dance moves at
7:30 p.m.
Guests are asked to dress in 1950s
Sock Hop styled clothing. So ladies
find those poodle skirts and saddle
shoes and guys, don’t forget chinos
and leather jackets with all zippers

Mini Health Fair Planned

on Wednesday, May 16, from 10
a.m. until noon at the Agricultural
Resource Center, 444 Bristol Drive
in Statesville.
Local health service agencies will
provide education and information
about their services. Lunch will be
served following the activity. The

Citizens For Animal Welfare presents
Bird Brains, a program about songbirds
and their habitats, Thursday, May
