Temple Gob bel, released to this paper for the first time the two sets of plans that have been proposed. Because of the See PLANS, page three Noted Artist Designs Proconian Masthead in- The Proconian is deeply debted to Mr. Jack Manly Rose, noted American artist, for the new masthead which is being used for the first time in this issue. Mr. Rose is best known for the books of sketches of historical places that he does in collabora tion with his wife, Mrs. Grace Rose. Some of his better known works are “Colonial Williams burg” and “Northeast from Bos ton.” Mr. Rose, who resides in Sum mit, New Jersey, is now at work on a book of sketches of the University which will be pub lished next year in connection with the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the University. Mr. Rose has been in Chapel Hill several times in the past year in connection with this work and is extremely interested in the town itself. Much credit is due to this great American artist for an excep tionally well done piece of work.
