Tuesday morning : With the present week’s paper
not even on the press, Editors Cashion and Car
michael and Advisor Manci begin plans for another
issue.
Wednesday morning; Staff meeting is held and
assignments are made for the following week’s is
sue. General staff business is also discussed.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: Staff reporters
and feature writers gather the week’s news and put
it down on paper. The content of the paper begins
to shape up.
Saturday and Monday mornings; Typists decipher Tuesday: The Orange Printshop takes over as its Tuesday afternoon: The paper begins to assume
the work of the staff writers and recopy it before expert linotypers set up the material that is to be its final shape as Associate Editor Carmichael and
it starts its journey to the printshop. used in the week’s issue of the paper. “Stumpy” make up each separate page of the paper.

Wednesday: The paper is placed on the press after
it has been proofread and all corrections have been
made. This press turns out from 30 to 50 papers a
minute.
Thursday morning: The finished paper is folded by
an electric folding machine which folds the entire
edition of 400 copies in about five minutes.
Thursday morning; The paper finally reaches its
readers as Circulation Manager Smith and his staff
of assistants deliver it to the home rooms. THE
