Page Four PROCONIAN Thursday, January 18, 1945 Yi-Sun Sin (Continued from page one) ready to attack, the Korean fleet was in horrible shape, and when the Japanese offered battle the Koreans fled and were eventually captured. Yi-Sun was then called back into service, and with the help of a Chinese fleet, he regained con trol of the sea. Again the Japanese army be gan to withdraw. This time Yi- Sun let their convoy get way out to sea before he attacked. When he did attack he wiped out the Japs. During this engagement he received word that some of his ships had engaged another fleet of the enemy’s further to the south. When he was able to leave the first battle he raced south and helped defeat the second enemy fleet. The worst loss suffered by the Koreans was the death of Yi-Sun, who was killed in the heat of battle. He died happily with the knowledge that he had driven the enemy from his country. The local girls took an early lead and Chapel Hill led 5-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Town Girls, however, in the sec ond quarter came back to tie the game up and go ahead, and led by a 10-5 margin at the half. In the third quarter the Town Girls increased their lead to 14-6 with Dot Hogan’s foul shot being the only Hillian tally. Coach Lloyd’s girls rallied in the final quarter but fell five points short of achieving victory. For Chapel Hill, Dot Hogan, although playing only half a game, was high scorer with five points. H. H. S. We’ll walk together, laugh at the rain together — it’s pouring now. Ha, ha, ha, ha, he, he, he! Trouble comes in threes—but it missed last Friday night. The B team won its game, 18 to 16. But the Kittens lost theirs, 16 to 12, and by the way, Mary Jane isn’t going to cancel the rest of their games. And the varsity, better known as the A team, lost theirs, 24 to 16. Sixteen must be somebody’s unlucky number. Guff! But we’ll moider Efland! Heh, heh, heh. We propose a new name for the varsity team. Since varsity prod ucts, ice cream, cokes, pepsis and stuff, all except orange juice have been ruled out for the teams, everybody on the said teams has migrated to the Scuttlebutt. Therefore we suggest the name Scuttlebutt for the A team. And that’s not the only reason. Have you noticed the way the boys gos sip during time-outs ? Boys, heh, heh, heh. Jimmy Blake, the boy with the bit lip (one of the Burlington girls, no doubt, heh, heh, heh), was highest fouler in the A game—highest scorer, too. See you in Efland, heh, heh, heh. RESOLUTIONS . . . As C. H. H.
