Religion Classes
Through the magic of modern
teaching aids, children at Christ
the King Church, Kings Mountain,
learn without the boredom of hum
drum old fashioned methods. Mod
ern teaching aids add interest to
subject matter and enthusiasm on
the part of the child. They culti
vate the mind and stimulate the
soul. Visual teaching is quite ex
pensive, but the profits reaped are
far more rewarding than the mon
ey spent.

nan’s Saturday morning religion
class in the process of watching a
film at Christ the King Church in
Kings Mountain. The film is one
of the St. John’s Film strip series.
The Sisters, the Mary Missioners
and the parishioners all join in the
work of conducting the religion
classes. After the instructions on
Saturday mornings the children at
tend Mass and have the oppor
tunity to make their confessions.
During the past year the congre
gation in Cherryville, which is
served by priests at the Kings
Mountain Apostolate Center, was
able to erect a small, but handsome
church. The new building is com
prised of a main hall for worship,
a room for teaching, and a small
apartment for the priest. It is dedi
cated to the Immaculate Heart of
Mary.
