Can we help them have a happy one? Can we offer some attitudinal guidelines? Let’s start with some thing central. Since Our Lord dis tinguished a Christian by his con cern for somebody else (John 13:35), that’s a good place to start. Therefore, the recipe for a hap py summer is not: “What will I enjoy the most?” “What will I get out of it?” “What’s in it for me?” Thats just selfishness, which nev er leads to happiness for any body. Rather, let’s ask: “What can I do this summer to make some body else happy?” GRADUATES of Asheville Catholic High School are: First row, left to right, David Williams, Margo Morissette, Roberta Hudgens, Jeanette Fayssoux, Zella Gray, Sally Beebe, Kath erine Bergemann, Mary Malee, Lorraine Frisk, Charles Wil liams, Gail Durner, Sandra McFall, Peter Harmatuk.
