RotmN SUNDAY, MARCH 31 (MIDNIGHT) is the last chance for GRAND KNIGHTS to have in the Post Office their REPORT OF COUNCIL ACTIVITY, Form 1967, FOR THE SUPREME SECRE TARY. This survey is conducted in conjunction with the National Fraternal Congress. Your Grand Knight or the Council's GENERAL PROGRAM CHAIRMAN should already have this report to the SU PREME SECRETARY already in the mails! State Deputy Darold Loecker, of South Dakota, and his State Ad vocate Delvin N. J. Welter, were instrumental in the passage by both Houses of the South Dakota Legislature of a model obscenity statute, according to an article in the Knights of Columbus News publication. The bill defines obscenity and sets up specific penalties for violation of same. It passed both Houses by overwhelming support, and no doubt will be effective in the surging tide of pornography. In a letter to all GRAND KNIGHTS AND STATE OFFICERS, Brother GEORGE L. GETTIER, Chairman of the State Fraternal Ac tivity Committee, reminds: “Once again it is time to bring to your attention the State Fraternal Activity of selecting THE NORTH CAROLINA KNIGHT OF THE YEAR, to be chosen at the State Con vention in WILMINGTON from among the candidates selected by the local Councils.” ...
