YOU SHOULD GO TO CHURCH r BgECAUSE the Church dispenses the spiritual I food by which your soul is nourished and f I given strength to do its work with hope and courage. Likewise, the concentrated thought of many minds upon spiritual things reacts upon your mind, while the affirmation of your belief in a Being greater and better than yourself whose ove is your comfort and protection, enables you to meet the world victoriously. The church is organized to spread love, truth and brotherhood throughout the world, and stands as a moral force reminding you and yours of God. PASTORAL LETTER The mission of our church paper is to pro mote the interest of the church and kingdom in this community and it is the wish of the pastor that you will receive the paper as a personal message and by reading it keep in touch with, what is being done and planned. The church lives as did the Master, “not to be served, but to serve.” Your pastor feels that his work is not simply to preach, but to minister, and it is to aid itf that work of ministry that the Messenger is sent into your homes. “I am among you as He that serveth,” com ing “not to be ministered unto but to minister.” In addition to all the public services of the church the personal problems of the people have a large place in my heart. It is my desire to render every possible service of comfort, of good cheer, of correction and of genuine helpfulness to every one who will accept such service. I am at the command of any need, day or night, and shall count it a favor from you to call. If you will keep this fact in mind then, that our church paper is not simply type, ink and paper, but that it is indeed a living pulsating messenger carrying a live message to you month by month, a message designed to waken your in terest in the greatest work in the world, the de sired end will be attained. Just in proportion as our paper accomplishes this will be of value to our work. Sincerely, YOUR PASTOR.
