What a privilege to those desiring such a business course to take it at home. Read the letter and also the ad in this issue. -o The apportionment of the equalizing fund for 1928-29 compared with that of 1927-28 is as follows: 1927-28, $27,648.05 and for 1928-29, $27,893.58. Hyde County now is getting her apportionment of this fund. -o Automobile accidents in month of May killed 47 persons and 365 injured. Drive careful and save your life. ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN] A woman once approached Dwight L. Moody and said to him, “Mr. Moody, I understand that you are opposed to the dance and preach against it.” Mr. Moody replied, “Yes, madam, I dance all I want to.” “Well then,” said the lady, “I misunderstood you.” To which Mr. Moody again replied, “I dance all I want to, but I am a fol lower of Christ (a Christian) and I don’t want to dance any.” A Christian will not want to drink liquor, dance, gamble, play cards, desecrate the Sabbath and like things. Reader, have you made the full surrender? -o MEETING AT ROSE BAY Rev. J. L. Price did some earnest preaching of the Gospel at Rose Bay for ten days. The meeting was very well attended and the com munity greatly revived. There were three professions of faith in Christ made. The three to receive baptism were Ruby Bridgman, Laura Porter and Marie Mason. Some may be ready to criticise youth for joining the church, but Jesus said, “Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the King dom of Heaven.” The Lord wants to save not only your soul but your life. Lay the strength of your youth at His feet. -o To do your task as it can be done is as much as the greatest genius can do.
