WHO IS TO DRINK IT?
“Well,” said the merchant, with an air of
finality, “prohibition is a failure, and we must
get used to the idea of making America wet once
again.”
“But who is to drink the liquor?” queried his
friend. Will you?”
“Why, no,” he replied. “You know that I
am a teetotaler.”
“Will your son drink it?”
“No, that shall not be!”
“Would you want it to come back for the
sake of your clerks?”

“No, it is my practice to discharge any clerks
who drink liquor.”
‘ Do you want your customers to drink it?”
“No, I would much rather they would not;
I am sure that those who use strong drink will
not buy so much from me nor pay their bills
so promptly.”
“Will you want the engineer on your train
to use it?”
“No, I admit I don’t want to ride on a
drunkard’s train.”
“Ah, then you want this liquor for the men
whom you meet driving cars on the public high
way?”
“No; of course not; that is a danger to every
body.”
“Well, then, who is to drink this liquor in
America, pray, tell me?”
“I am not so sure that anybody should drink
it. I guess we’re much better off without it.”

Petr's Get ToqefheV
It is a great privilege for Christian men and
women, boys and girls, to get-together each
Sunday at Sunday school and study the Word
of God.
Are you enlisted in a class? We include
from the cradle roll to the home department.
Shall we not get together in prayer services,
preaching services and Sunday school: “Come
thou with us; we will do thee good.”Moses.
