Cox, church treasurer of Englehard Church. -o THE BAPTIST STATE CONVENTION Our Baptist State Convention which met two days in Raleigh and one at Wake Forest, was well at tended. The pastor reports a splendid convention. Watch December issue for further comments. SCUPPERNONG UNION MEETING Our Scuppernong Union will meet with the Cres well Baptist church, November 29 and 30. Let a good delegation from each church in Hyde county plan and go. A splendid program is being arranged. B. Y. P. U. WORKER IN HYDE Miss Mary Ayskew is spending a week each at Engelhard, Fairfield and Rose Bay, working with our B. Y. P. U. organizations. She is a fine worker and has brought much help to our people. Let me urge that each member of the various B. Y. P. U.’s over the county take the study course class under Miss Ayskew. Attend these classes and learn how to carry on B. Y. P U. work better. Miss Ayskew will be at: Engelhard—November 23-30. Fairfield—November 30-December 6. Rose Bay for third week. --i-o CONVENTION DEBT WEEK December 7-14 has been set as a period of eight days during which a definite effort will be made to raise all the money we can in our churches over the state to pay off all we can of the million dollar plus debt now on the convention. -o 1931 PLEDGES Let every one make a worthy pledge to the local and the benevolent causes of the Kingdom. Co operate and pledge at once if you have not done so and help make our report complete. The one thing we never forget when a life has ended, is any kindness we have shown in it. PSP
