WILLIAMSTON - One local family
made their television debut re
cently.
Monica Bullock and her fam
ily were selected to star in a
television commercial for the
North Carolina Aquarium at
Pine Knoll Shores.
“In July a couple of news sta
tions had posted on their web
site a casting call for the North
Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll
Shores in Atlantic Beach. 1 sub
mitted our family pictures. We
were one of the lucky families
selected for the commercial,”
said Bullock.
The casting call began July 31
and ended Aug. 5.
The commercials were ex
pected to feature young fami
lies with toddler boys or girls,
teenage boys and girls and
adults who look to be in their
20s to 70s to portray the family
tradition.
Filming was scheduled on
weekends throughout August
and September at the aquarium
and other local places, weather
permitting. Each commercial
took approximately one day to
shoot.
“We are interested in featur
ing local talent to showcase
family traditions. While these
are unpaid positions, this is
an exciting opportunity to see
the aquarium after hours and
behind the scenes, as well as
participate in special activities
such as kayaking and paddle
boarding,” said the aquarium’s
communications manager Dan
ielle Bolton.

Hospital officials have
implemented visitation
restrictions.
Visitation restrictions
include anyone who

do not apply to those
in need of emergency
care.
Children under age 12
will not be permitted in
the hospital for visita

minimize the spread of
respiratory infections
to hospital patients,
employees, community
and children under 12
years of age, according
to hospital officials.
“Patients in the hospi

our job to protect them
from unnecessary ex
posure to germs,” said
