WHITE, son and daughter of Mr.

Youngsville, are both 1960 college
graduates, Gerald was graduated
from N. C. State College on May
29 with a B. S. degree in agricul
ture-education. He has accepted
a job with the Smith-Douglas Co.
He and his wife, the former Sarah
Clay Ball of Fraiiklinton, will
move to Wilmington where He'
will begin his duties on July 1.
Beverly graduated from Camp
bell Junior'College on .June 3 and
plans to enter Meredith College
in the fall where she will major
in elementary education. While
at Campbell she was copy editor
on the yearbook staff and in other
campus organizations. Both are
graduates of Youngsville High
School.
WILLIAM CAREY STAIN-
BACK, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. G.
Stainback of Rt. 1, Youngsville,
received his Bachelor of Science
in Mathematics Education from
N. C, State College last week,
Stainback was a member of the
Pershing Rifles honorary military
society, the PershiHg Rifle drill
team. First Sgfel hijS’junior year;

Glee Club for four years and was
soloist and club officer in his ju
nior year. He was in the R.O.T.C.
and Advanced R.O.T.C. (Cadet
Capt.): he took part in the Raleigh
Oratorial Society’s Messiah pres
entation for two vears, and played
freshman basketball and partici
pated in intramural atletics.
William was graduated from
Oak Ridge Military Institute as
top cadet in the class and had
been active in snorts and other
school activities there.
He is married to the former Lor
raine Card of Raleigh. He will bo
commissioned as a 2nd Lieuten
ant at Fort Bragg this summer,

James Wilson completed his col
lege work in. January and is pres
ently engaged in the training pro
gram with American Stores Com
pany of Philadelphia, Pa. In
September he will enter Cornell
University for special training
work and afterwards will continue
his training with American Stores.
He plans to be married in Sep
tember before entering Cornell at
Ithaca, N. Y.

The two men each will give a
brief talk and then begin unre-

and Mrs. John G. Mills of Wake
Forest was awarded his LLB de
gree from the Wake Forest School
of Law Monday.
John G,, who is a member of
the Phi Delta Phi, law fraternity,
received his B.S. degree from the
college in 1958. He was graduated
from the Admiral Farragut Naval
Academy, St. Petersburg, Fla. in
1952. After two years at Wake For
est he served two years in the Na
vy before returning to the school.
He is married to the former Mary
.Johns Cameron of Southern Pines.'
They will remain in Winston this
summer while he prepares for the
state bar exam.
