THE CHURCH FOR ALL
AUU FOR THE CHURCH
The Church is the greatest factor
on earth for the building of charac
ter and good citizenship. It is a store
house of spiritual values. Without a
strong Church, neither democracy
nor civilization can survive. There
are four sound reasons why every
person should attend services regu
larly and support the Church. They
are: (1) For his own sake. (2) For
his children’s sake. (3) For the sake
of his community and nation. (4)
For the sake of the Church itself,
which needs his moral and material
support. Plan to go to church regu
larly and read your Bible daily.
When Grandmother and Grandfather Todd came to say their goodbyes be
fore leaving for Florida, we took their picture. Looking at it, I remember them
as they were that day, serene and happy, anticipating their trip. To them there
are no sunset years but always a new day ahead.
Life has truly been a table spread before them. Oh, there have been sor
rows and trouble aplenty, but always His rod and staff have comforted them.
Even in the shadow of death God has been with them, for the Lord is their Shep
herd.
Such faith may be yours. Your church is the open door through which you
may find that fellowship of understanding which has been to my grandparents
their greatest treasure.
Attend your church and find there, through worship and prayer, the in
spiration you need for religious growth.

Rural electric cooperative systems were created by rural
Americans themselves to bring electricity to their farms
and homes and business enterprises, when service was
unavailable elsewhere.
Motivated oniy by the need of the consumer and based
on sound democratic principles, with each consumer-
member casting his vote to determine our policies, our
enterprise has helped bring the benefits of Twentieth
Century progress to rural areas, and has proved itself
as a model of democracy In action. To keep one step
ahead of continually growing power requirements in
our rural areas is both our duty and our aim.
