Tuesday night we played MiU- /brook here and tonight’s game with Garner is away. Mr. Bridge and some of his agri culture classes have built a large picnic table for the downstairs lobby. The table is expertly made from walnut and will last a long time if we take care of it. Betty Trotter was fourth runner- up in the State Junior Miss Con test Saturday night in Charlotte. She was judged in evening gown and talent competition, a short calisthenics routine and a private interview with the judges. Among prizes she received are money, luggage and an Instamatic cam era. ! Choirs present were Riley Hill, Olive Branch, Family Circle, St. Mary and Bailey. Mr. Will Dunn is going back to New Jersey. ■ i The program at the last meeting of the Dramatics Club was a ten minute skit in three acts. The characters were: the King — Ry an Keith; The Devoted Queen — Kathy Stertz; The Duke — Danny Marshall; the Princess — Alice Thornton; the curtain and scene shifter — GaU Short. Mr. Brink- ley, a guest, suggested the club put on a skit for the school. Linda Rollins was crowned Miss Wake Forest Rescue Squad, EYi- day night, in the high school gym. She sang and danced to “A Taste of Honey” in talent competition. Members of Linda’s Court are Nancy Davis, first runner-up; Mary Ella Dodd, second; Emily Jo Holding, third; Stannie Farish, fourth. Board mem bers’ wives are seated in front in the same order. —^Lois Barham Photo Rolesville Firemen Auxiliary Entertain Members of the Rolesville Fire Department and the Ladies Auxil iary entertained members of their families at a Family Night Supper on Saturday night at the Fire House. Special invited guests in cluded all the board members and their families. The Ladies Auxiliary were in charge of decorating for the event and they used a green and red motif in keeping with the Christ mas Season. A dinner of chicken barbecue, potato salad, cole slaw and drinks, were prepared and served by the firemen and their wives to approximately 75 people. Jones of Durham. Those at tending were Mirs. Georgie M. Clinton, Mrs. Annie B. Bland, Mrs. Marie Massenburg, Mrs. Annie Lu cas, Mrs. Mary J. Massenburg, Mrs. Peggie Williams, Mrs. Lucy Harris and Mrs. Doris Harris. Those unable to attend were Mrs. Virginia Lucas, Mrs. Annie B. Wil liams, Mrs. Bettie Smith and Miss Hallie Richardson. The tree was decorated by Mrs. Clinton. Those present received some very nice gifts and we all enjoyed the trip. Mrs. Elizabeth Jones, Mrs. Liz zie Hartsfield, Mrs. Mary J. Mas senburg and Regina Massenburg attended service Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Zebulon of which, the Rev. John Mangum is pastor. There will be a Christmas Pag eant, “Songs of Christmas”, given by the Teen-Age Girl’s Club of Friendship Baptist Church, Sunday night, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p. m. at the Church. Some of the features will be solos, poems, the meaning of Christmas and Candlelight serv ice. Please come out and kelp the young people of the church. Mr. Carlton Hood Sr., who op erates the Wake Forest Funeral Home, preached his trial sermon last Sunday evening in his home town of LaGrange at the Mission ary Baptist Church under the su pervision of his pastor. Rev. C. H. Brown. His text was taken from First John 5:10 and the subject was “The Witness Within the Heart”. Rev. W. W.
