OSlti/ COMMUNITY LIAISON ORGANIZATION for SUPPORT, EDUCATION and REFORM December 1987 Asheville, North Carolina No. 4 for us all. SEASON'S GREETINGS TO ALL! May the Holidays be fun and full of cheer Remember to exercise care and caution while driving and partying. i-+-H- NOTES & NEWS As was done last year, the Executive Committee has allocated $100.00 to the C.L.O.S.E.R. library to purchase new materials during this year. If you have suggestions for such purchases, please give them to WARREN. Unfortunately, a borrowed amplifier was damaged during the Halloween party and dance. Someone spilled and knocked over a drink into the unit and it was damaged. We feel that C.L.O.S.E.R. needs to be responsible for the repair of this equipment. After checking around, this repair will cost approximately $100.00. We would like to think that the person(s) responsible for spilling the drink will come forward and offer to pay for part of this repair as the C.L.O.S.E.R. treasury will be hard-pressed to cover this expense. You may contact any member of the Executive Committee, and THANK YOU in advance. DUES (again!); If you have not paid your $6.00 annual dues to SHERRILL, please do so during December! If by the end of this year your dues are not up to date, your name will be taken off the mailing list. This is the only way we can keep our budget commitments on an even keel. Thanks to SAM for the excellent production of The Foreigner at Brevard College last weekend. Those who attended were treated, in addition to free admission, to a very professionally directed evening of theatre. 1I§1(§1I§1I§1[§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1(§1[§1I§1I§1I§1I§1[§1(§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1[§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§11§1(§1I§1I§1(§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§ S1IS1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1(§1I§1I§1I§1I§1[§1I§1I§1I§1(§1I§1!§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1I§1IS1IS1I§1I§1IS1I§1I§1I§1I§1I DECEMBER SCHEDULE 12/1 - "The Asheville Police Department & You" - A spokesperson or two will be on hand to discuss the Asheville Police Department's atti tudes and policies towards gay people vis-a-vis hiring, treatment as citizens, etc. 12/8 - TUESDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES: The documentary Pink Triangles will be shown tonight. Even if you have seen this film previously, it would be worthwhile to see it again as it treats presecution and discrimination against gays starting the Hitler's Germany and later here in our country. We'll have popcorn! (over)
