Monday rap sessions begin at 7:30 PM. In March we tried a pilot program, a Monday evening "rap session," an unstructured gathering of anyone who feels like getting together with a few other people to just talk about anything relevant to gay men and lesbians. The initial response of those attending has been very positive, so the Execu tive Committee has decided to con tinue this through May. Beginning in June, we go into our summer schedule, meeting on Tuesday evenings with an unstructured format. HELP! Does anyone have two VCR’s? For the CLOSER library, we’d love to consolidate some of the gay- affirming tapes a number of us have been accumulating, but we need the services of someone with two VCR’s to do this for us. Please see or call Cynthia if you can help with this. Those of you to whom it is relevant, be sure to read the March ’09 Consumer Reports article, "Can You Rely on Condoms?" It reports on tests of condom strength, besides giving much excellent information and advice on responsible condom use. Charlotte and Cynthia have donated their copy to the CLOSER library. Philip J., our head librarian, Charlotte have completed library inventory. Philip prepared sheets showing what have. These are available at library, and extra copies have been made for anyone wanting one. A big job well done. Thank you! and the has we the I f you see someone you don’t recognize at a CLOSER meeting, and the person is not wearing a lavender name button, introduce yourself! If it’s their first time at CLOSER, sit next to the person and introduce him or her to the group. It’s up to each of us to make all feel welcome!
