Employers Pleading Ignorance Although a law making some employers of domestic or farm worker liable for unemployment insurance taxes has been in effect since January 1, 1978, many of the employers are still pleading ignorance of the law .As a result, a spokesman for the North Carolina Employment Security Com mission said many of the employers involved are fac ed with interest and penalty charges that could be avoid ed by timely payments. The catch rated for largemouth bass came out of a survey by the commission of 85 Bass Anglers Sport sman’s Society clubs, four wildlife clubs and 110 in dividuals. The results were tabulated on the basis of how many bass were caught each hour for sounds and bays, reser voirs, ponds and rivers, lakes and streams. Lake Wylie ranked first among the reservoirs with .41 legal-sized fish caught and hour, compared with .33 for Norman. The best fishing was in the ponds with lakes the worst place to fish. The catch also varied with the seasons. The best time to fish in the reservoirs was in the spring, but fall was the best season for fishing in the sounds and bays, lakes, streams and rivers. The best fishing in ponds was during the winter. Some fund this important pro gram.
