PRESIDENT BALDWIN
The complete text of President
Baldwin’s speech follows:
Several weeks ago, each op
erating unit here at Pisgah Forest
passed a major milestone in a
most important phase of our busi
ness - accident prevention.
You, each of you, and everyone
else working here made it pos
sible for each of our two units
to exceed two million worker hours
without a disabling injury. That
is more than four million injury-
free hours for this location. This
was accomplished because you
brought safety awareness to the
work place, and you made safety
a way of your work life.
For the purpose of recognizing
and commending your vastly
improved safety performance and
attitude, we decided to put this
special occasion together. Before
we could make this happen, how
ever, you have attained an even
higher level of performance.
I am extremely happy to announce
today that on September 21, 1975,
