Vainly- do we strive to loosen its wondrous clasp. ’Tie a task which none but the han<l of time can ac complish. Life is short and we should all im prove our time while it iB before us. Not earthly life alotte, but life is a thread running through the warps of eternity. It is a sweet as well as a great and wondrous thing. Man may irake life what he pleases, and give it as much worth for himself as he has energy for. We are in the orld to make it belter, to lift it up to a higher level of enjoyment and progress, to make a. 1 tcwi row the hearts- and homes brighter and happier by devoting to our race our best thoughts, actions and influences for noble deeds. It is yet it may be long enough us to learn about this grand ma terial or external world. If such grand possibilities lie within the reach of our personal actions in the world, how important that we live for something that is harmonious with the dignity of our present being and the grandeur of our future destiny. Yesterday was ours but it is gone; to-day is all we possess, for to mor row we may neyefr see; therefore in the golden hqirfs of the present the seeds'Sre planted whereby the har vest for good or evil is to be realized. The web of life is drawn into a loom for us. We weave it ourselves. Life is often a bitter struggle from first to last, with many who wear smiling faces and are ever ready with a cheerful word. Life is like a wind er On either side are bright nd tempting fruit which we ause to admire or taste, gb all, le| us so live that, he evening of life the gold est sweetly and invitingly lden mountains, and the en streams down through g mists |jf death, we may ul .and} joyous entrance d of blessedness where e of^ wi6se~Sean ly guess at here below d to us in the quick f a soul redeemed and CHEERING NEWS. * * * school every day.
