The blow has fallen. The War Industries Board lias issued regulations with reference to periodicals that will compel us to get upon a cash-in-advance basis. The regulations appear to be somewhat different from those that apply to newspa pers, but in the end they mean the same at this point. We cannot continue to carry unpaid subscriptions long and continue to get white paper, and we must adjust our selves to the new conditions as rapidly as possible. We therefore make our appeal. THE LABEL TELLS DATE OF EXPIRATION. Look up at the little yellow label. It is probably sticking on this page. If it reads 1 Jan 19, it means that your subscription is paid to January 1, 1919; but, if there is an 18 after the month, it indicates that your subscription expires iu 1918. If you are not paid in advance, do not wait for any further notice. Now is the time to send check to advance it to 1919. DO NOT DROP FROM OUR LIST. We do not want to lose a single subscriber. This is no time to desert your Church paper. You never needed it more than now to keep.up with the advance movements of the Church in these tremendous times. Never was there a time when you were in greater danger of being misled by the secular press in religious maHers, and there never was a time when it was more important for you to do your part in the Church. And then there never was a time when the Church paper needed you more than it does now. We are working in the face of many difficulties, and we need your help. pAST()RS HLp We beg every pastor to come to aur help at this time. Do not let any subscriber run over his date and become lost to us. Many will not think af us if you do not call their attention to us. State the situation from the pulpit, but do not stop with that; go to see each one individually. It can be done, if you will get right down after them. We know it can, because some do it. Altogether for a clean sheet! im.uHHiTMin miii mi urn tfimirrmmr"" r- J3
