Judging from the advance sale of tickets, the Academy ofiMusic 'will be filled both Wednesday and Thursday evening of this week with one of the largest and most fashionable audien ces of the year to listen to the attrac tive programmes which will be pre sented by the Choral Society of Wil mington in its:flrst annual Music Fes tival. . ' '. ' Not only has the sale been large in the city, but reservations have been made by persons living at a distance who have been attracted by the ad vance notices of the. class,, of music that will be offered by the superb Fes tival Orchestra on the evening of June IbI, and from the standpoint of the ttttattc, it bids fain to rival the efforts ot Bome of the larger orchestras tour ing the country this season. Mr. John F. Kneisel, tho well known local musician, who will direct the orchestra, has arranged a most attrac tive programme from some of the master minds of music Puccini, Mas senet, MacDowell and others which in itself is a guarantee of the .excel lence of the first evening's entertain ment. The soloist of the evening. will be Mrs. Horace R. Dowell, of Raleigh, and Wilmington music-lovers' have a rare treat in store for them, for Mrs. Dowell takes rank as one of the finest singers of the South and her selec tions for the evening have been made with rare taste. Mrs. Dowell has been given highly complimentary notices in the various places in the State where she has appeared and the Choral So ciety is to be congratulated upon be ing able to secure .her services at this time. - The feature of second evening's pro gramme will be the first annual ap pearance of the Choral-Society In Sir Frederick Cowen's tuneful "Rose Maiden", which should be styled ope ratic rather than a cantata so rich and expressive is the music. The trouble would appear in the form of small yellow blisters, characterized by very severe itching-, etc. I tried sarsaparillas, so-called blood puri fiers, salves, ointments, lotions and treatment under a physician, but nothiaar did me anv food. Becoming discouraged I left on all. this treat ment, and just about this time I saw S. 8. S. advertised. One day I decided to grive this medicine a trial, and after using: It for, a short while I began to improve. , Of course I con tinued S. S. 8. and it cured me com pletely. Quite a while has elapsed since I was cured and there has never been the slightest indication of the return of the trouble. O. O. RECK. 404 Freedom St., Allianoe Ohio. I had a bad case of Eczema, it being: especially severe on my rig-ht hand. I wan hardly able to use my hand in my work. I tried a great many things ia an effort to pet relief, but was unable to do so until I read of 8. 8. 8. and determined to give it a trial: I used several bottles of this remedy and it cured the trouble en tirely. S.S.S. put my blood in fine oondition nd left my skin soft and smooth. Though this was some time agro thore has been no return of the trouble. CHAS. J. WOLF. JR. 904 8. Second St., St. Louis, Mo, For four years I suffered severely with Weeping: Eczema, located chiefly on the hands, both inside and out, and extended as far up as the wrists. I was under treatment most all the time, but could tret no relief. One or two of my physicians said it was as bad a case of Eczema as they ever saw. I lost my finger nails once or twice as a result of the dise&nA. and the itching, burning: and pain I experienced I cannot express to you in words. I kept my hands bandaged all the while, but with only little relief. As I said, becoming diaennr. aged, I gave up all treatment I was taking, and seeing 8. 8. S. advertised began it as a last resort. A few bot tles convinced me that it was doing me gooa ana j. continued it, ana in a short while I was entirely cured. MRS.
