Raw Turnover the Smallest of Any Session 'Since Signing- of Armistice Early -Gains Lost. New York, Nov. 19. Dullness was the salient feature of today's stock market, " trading dwindling to the smallest total since" thesigning of the armistice. The tone was steady to firm during the forenoon, but practi cally all gains- were dissipated in the geenral selling of the final hour. Monetary conditions which so long have 'militated against speculative ex cesses lost none of their force and re sultant restraints, brokers experienc ing further dinlculty in securing bank ing accommodations for an extension of business. Quotations for call and time loans were unaltered, but the local money market has temporarily ceased to be regarded as a barometer of actual con ditions with time funds almost unob tainable except for moderate renewals. Four stocks contributed almost one third of today's output-r-U. S. Steel, Marine pfd., Mexican Petroleum and Southern Pacific leading more or less in the order named. , Steel started off at a moderatdly strong pace, but replaced its extreme advance of 1 1-4 .points with a net fractional loss. Marine substituted a slight early gain with a substantial setback of two points, Mexican Petrol euni reversed Its- Initial advance of 1 1-2 with an extreme setback of 9 points and Southern Pacific"-forfeited nearly all of its gain of a point. These movements were typical of changes elsewhere in the list, other rails,, industrials and specialties .falling off one to;. thr.ee-pointy from maximums in a broader reaction at the end. Bonds made a better showing than stocks, Liberty issues holding steady with marked strength in the Interna tional division, especially French gov ernment 5 1-2's and French municipals. Total sales, par value, aggregated ?8, 450,000. Old U. S. bonds were unchang ed on call. CHICAGO LIVESTOCK. Chicago, Nov. 19. Years ago the only way to get this mixture was to make it at home, which is mussy , and trouble some. '' ' ' Nowadays we simply ask at any drug store for"Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound." You will get a large bot tle Of this old time recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients for about 50 cents. Everybody ,; uses this preparation now, because no one can possibly tell that you :darkened your hair, as it does it so naturally and evenly. You dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning the gray hair disap pears, and after, another application or two your hair, becomes beautifully dark, thick and glossy and you look years younger. ' Wyeths Sage and Sul phur ' Compound Is a delightful toilet requisite. It is not intended for the cure, mitigation or prevention f Jls- -THE WEATHER. Washington, Nov. 19. V. S. He would thus immortalize the signing of arm istice between the warring nations. The annual Thanksgiving day would come on November 11 each year, and the people would give thanks for the notable red letter event. Postal Service Re-established Paris, Nov. 19. (British Wireless.)
