TEN. m EDUCATE AMERICA i AS TO FOOD NEEDS Intensive Campaign Will Be , Waged Next Week. Effort Will Be Made to Bring Home to the American People the Neccs- . ity of Cpnwervntioiv .In .Order To Feed Europe. , Washington, Nov. 28. An intensive campaign to bring home; to the Ameri can people the need for food conser vation so that 300,000,000 hungry peo- ni in Europe and the near east . may be fed, will be conducted next week by the food administration. Beginning next Sunday when a mes sage from Food Administrator Hoover will be read in the churches through out the country; every possible medi um will be used during the week to awaken the nation to its "opportuni ty for renewed service and sacrifice for the relief of millions released from 'the German yoke." - Each day of the week will be eet aside for a special feature of the cam paign. "The conservation week campaign, ..m ti-ie administration statement to o,r "win hriner out the need" for sav ing' food and sharing it with the al huaoni tvia lihAratfid. nations. Con- I41CO GLUXM. . - ' is absolutely vital to the (relief of stricken Europe. Famine is he mother of revolt and anarchy. If !nri allow hiinsrfir to take its toll of life in Europe, the red scourge of revolu tion is bound to spread and we will eee a definite collapse of the peace for i which we fought and bled. "Tn the comins; year we must send 20. 000.000 tons of food to Europe ImrnrHrailv the limit of loading capaci ty at our ports. The magnitude of this undertaking may better be under stood in comparison with our pre-war Exports of less than six million tons jper year and the export last year of nly 11,820,000 tons. nstnva THE niTVRf A FOR SEW PURPOSES NOW LOW BROWS IN IT I TRTlNft OF BLOCKADE NOT TO BE CONSIDERED At Least, Not Intil Condition In tier- many Are settled Allies Reiolee At Wilson's -Visit. . . The . allies have . not the slightest intention, the Times con tinues, throwing aside the chief weap on for insuring the "signature, of' a "jus peace and the performance. of its con ditions, particularly in the present chaotic state of Germany. Np Reason Why . Smooth Eea(j. justments Shouldn't Come. : If Nation Will Change Its "Drives" - From War to Peace and Co-Oper-at as In Pa Ail Will be Well ' Says Post. . After Quoting evidence in an endeav- or to refute Dr. Solf's declaration that Germany is starving, the newspaper says that German statements on this subject require, careful examination. When the truth has been ascertained, the allies and. the United States will allow the Germans fram time to time during the peace negotiations such food supplies that humanity dictates, , but the blockade must remain in force until nna vioa hnAn ratified. a ueiim.ive " j Concerning the German at temps- -in . accordance with a distinction . uew. the allies and the United States, the Times speaks of the futility vof these efforts.
