Tiie market had a somewhat irregu lar opening. There was considerable selling of July by people- with Liver pool connections and that position opened at a decline of 9 points. Other months were 6 to 15 points higher, bow ever, and the general list quickly Armed up on covering, trade, buying snd a further broadening of commis sion house demand. There was no fresh factor on the lull side, but people who had sold In. the expectation of increased spot of ferings before the holidays seemed to j,e covering. March sold up 29.10 and May to g.Stt with active months generally showing net advances of 62 to 71 points during the middle of the morn in The market seemed to meet con siderable realizing at this level, and later there also was scattered selling for Southern account which led to talk of increased 'southern spot of erings at the advance. March sold off to 28.48 and May to 27.65 and the market closed within four or rive points of the lowest. Liverpool cables reported rather a fcea-rish sentiment there owing to the discontinuance of freight allotments after February and a belief that Cen trai Europe would befinancially un able to buy much cotton.
