Feb. 9. Issuance of $60,Oi6 ,n municipal bonds for the completion of water improvements, sewer arid street extensions; removal of the cot ton market from Lucknow square, which is to be turned over to the woman's club for conversion into a public park; adoption of a suitable type of shade tree to take the place of rims which must be removed from the street?!, and the issuance of at least $75,000 for school improvement,- pur poses, were among the matters receiv ing Indorsement at the hands of the board of town commissioners in its regular monthly meeting. Tn the matter of school bonds mem bers of the school board, meeting; with the commissioners to fill the places of two school committeemen whose terms had expired, concurred, although it was decided to defer calling- the necessary flection until it is found what school measures suggested by State Commis sioner of Education Brooks are adopted by this session of the legislature. If any measure suggestinghe consoli dation of school districts-vis adopted, an effort will be made to vote bonds suf ficient for the construction of a great antral high school building here and several grammar schools in other quarters of the township. Such a pro gram;' It 1s pointed out, will require more than the $75,000 needed to -place iocal schools on a good working-basis. In the election of school committee men. Judge John C.
