A., Sunday School league, resulted in the defeat of the Baptists by the Presbyterians, the score being 31 to 30, and the downfall of the Lutherans before the Methodists, the score in this contest being 30 to 20. The contests were played in the Y. M. C. A. gymnasium before a large and enthuslastic_audience. j The Lutherans' defeat by the Metho dists proved to be one of the biggest upsets of the season. Last week the Methodists were able to cage but a total of three baskets, but in Thurs day night’s game they came to the fore and decisively defeated their op ponents. / In the initial game of the evening the score at the end of the first half stood 23 to 12 in favor of the Presby terians, but in the last half the Bap tists speeded up and enough baskets were made to give the Presbyterians a great scare.
