Men Enlist In Army Here Enlistments yesterday at the Wil mington district office of the army recruiting- service included three young men from Southeastern North Carolina who were assigned to duty with infantry units in Panama, Ser geant S. W. D. Bennett, local re cruiting officer, reported. They Include: Robert B. Becton, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. P.. Becton, of route four,Clinton; Stacy L. Batchelor, 19, whose guardian ia James M, Batchelor, of route one, Richlands; and William F. King. 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. King, of 1410 Castle street. They were transferred to the army recruit training center at Fort Moultrie, S. C., for preliminary training prior to assignment to their overseas posts for three years of service.
