C.. on or before the 16th day of Sep HACOW PLANNING BIG MOVING DAY 50 Families To Be Moved Into Nesbitt Courts In Two Weeks Within the next two weeks the Housing Authority of the City ol Wilmington will stage a mammoth moving day, as it moves approxi mately 50 families into Charles T Nesbitt courts, white housing pro ject located in the southern section of the city. H. R. Emory, executive director of HACOW. said yesterday morn ing that already 45 families have had their applications approved and additional approvals are antici pated soon. Through Saturday, he said, HACOW had received 268 appar ently eligible applications for ten ancv in the 216 units available at Charles T. Nesbitt courts but stres sed that additional applications are still wanted to insure that HACOW will be able to house those families which are most greatly in need of better housing and are at the same time able to pay the com paratively small rentals charged. 180 Legal tember 1941, or this notice will be pleaded in bai of their recovery. Offices of HACOW have been moved from the quarters formerly occupied in the Murchison building and are now located in the ad ministration and community build ing at Nesbitt courts. Meanwhile a total of 127 negro families have been moved into units of the New Brooklyn Homes In all. Emory said, 390 applica tions. including those known to be eligible and those apparently eli gible but probably not so needy of better housing as some families which may yet make application. The last of the buildings on the negro project have been formally accepted by HACOW from the con tractor, making a total of 246 units which are available there now as compared with only 132 which were available prior to the acceptance last week. Rent payments at New Brooklyn homes are coming in at a fine clip, he said, and through Mon day there was no family in ar rears. Rents on the projects are payable each Monday. Emory said yesterday morning he did not know just when the au thority will sell its bonds to finance permanently its projects here but that he anticipated it would be some time in the near future. The bonds, to be sold through the local government commission at Ral eigh, will be the first such bonds to be sold by a housing authority in North Carolina. LINES CONSTRICTED LEXINGTON, Oct.
