“Issuance of gasoline ration to
boats for non-occupational use is
prohibited unless the boat is en
rolled in the Coast Guard Auxil
iary,” the New Hanover War Price
and Ration board announced
Wednesday.
The use of boats for sightseeing,
guiding pleasure parties, or the
conducting of fishing parties is not
considered occupational. even
though tire person furnishing the
boat does so as a part of his gain
ful occupation, ration officials de
clared.
It was disclosed that members
of the Treasury Victory Fund com
mittee are eligible for preferred
mileage to be used in the sale
of bonds.
Driving by members of amateur
athletic teams, including college
teams, is not considered occupa
tional mileage, and is therefore
not eligible for supplemental ra
tion.
