TWELVE_ Sorosis Group Will Have Meet This Thursday The Art Department of N. C. Sorosis will meet at the clubhouse Thursday afternoon at 3:45 o’clock. An illustrated lecture, “Stained Glass, the Art and the Craft,” by Joseph G. Reynolds, Jr., will be presented. Mr. Reynolds was graduated with honors from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1907. From that time until 1920 he worked as designer in several stained glass studios in Boston and Cambridge. During a stay in Europe he stud ied at first hand the medieval masterpieces in glass in the great French and English cathedrals. Mr. Reynolds, the holder of a medal of honor from the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts, has designed many notable windows. Among these are: “The Glorifica tion of Healing” window in the nave of the Cathedral of St. Jfehn the Divine, New York. The two great transept windows in Prince ton univesity chapel. The win dows in the American Memorial cemetery chapel at Belleau Wood, France; two windows in the Amei ican church in Paris, France. Following the lecture there will be a social hour. Members are permitted to bring a guest. Mrs. Rexford Willis is chairman of the Art department. * * • Rose Louise Ebron Weds Roger Dalton CROATAN, Oct. 16. — Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Ebron have announced the marriage of their daughter, Rose Louise, to Roger William Dalton of New Bern, formerly of Stuart, Va., Friday, September 24, at Conway, S. C. The bride was dressed in blue, with black ac cessories. The couple is now mak ing their home with the bride’s aunt. Mrs. W. H. Smith, in New Bern. Mr. Dalton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Howell, of the Cape Fear chapter, won the $5 award for the essay on “A Soldier I Knew” and the chapter won sec ond place in war activities and civilian defense work. The local chapter also tied for second place in presenting crosses of military service and again was honored by Mrs. J. P. Bundy being elect ed a member of the nominating committee. H., were married Sunday morn ng, October 3, in the chapel at he Marine Air station at Cherry Point. The ceremony was per formed by Chaplain J. Durocher, Jnited States Navy. Register at their home on t h e Castle Hayne road. * * * Enrlquez-Lewis Wedding Held At Camp Paris Chapel The Catholic chapel at Camp Davis was the scene of a wedding Friday evening when Miss Vivian Lewis became the bride of W. O. Philip Enriquez at 6:30 o’clock, with chaplain. Father Monson of ficiating. A program of nuptial music was rendered by the chap el organist. The bride was given in mar riage by C. Maury Powell and her only attendant was Mrs. Cathrine Savage of this city. The bride groom was accompanied by Ge rard Sheehan as his best man. Miss Lewis wore for her wed ding a light blue outfit with black accessories and a corsage of or chids. Miss Lewis is from St. Louis. Mo., and Mr. Enriquez is from San Diego, Cal. An informal buffet supper was given immediately following the wedding at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Maury Powell. The wed ding party consisted of W. O. and Mrs. Philip Enriquez, the bride and groom. W. O. and Mrs. Don Clement, Lt. and Mrs. .1. H. Pow ers. Mr. and Mrs. F. Taylor, Miss Mary Sheehan. Miss Bettie Loe flay, Mrs. Cathrine Savage, Ge rard Sheehan and Mr. and Mrs. C. Maury Powell. Richard Kent Bell and Miss Geraldine Harrison became the bride of Lieut. Rom B. Blalock. The Rev. Leon Rufesell, pastor of the church, officiated. Miss Mary Whitehurst, church organist, played nuptial music, and Louis E. Whilechureh of Fort Story, Va., sang “Because.” Mrs. Bell wore aqua and black velvet and carried a corsage of roses and valley lillies. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Ipock of New Bern. Lieutenant Bell is the son of Mrs. Nita Bell Hack ney and the late Herman W. Bell of Bridgeton. He is a graduate of Frederick army air field, and re ceived his wings and commission October 1. Mrs. Blalock wore royal blue ve lour and a corsage of roses and valley lillies. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Harrison of New Bern. Lieutenant Blalock is the son of Mrs. R. B. Blalock and the late Mr. Blalock. He is a grad uate of the U. S. Army Advanced school for navigation at Mather Field, Cal.
