APPAREL CUNIC OPENED BY OPA An Apparel clinic, one of 14 be ing held in the Raleigh district of the Office of Price Administra tion during January, was conduct ed here yesterday by Mrs. Nina Shaw, apparel representative of the district office, and attended by price clerks, chief clerks and price panel members from Wilmington, Whiteville, Southport, Burgaw, Chadbourn and Tabor City. The meeting, held to instruct clerks in making surveys of all apparel stores in the near future, took place in the Grand Jury room of the courthouse. Beginning at 9:30 a. m. and con tinuing until 4:30 p. m., the ses sion was attended by Guy Rawls, board operations executive of Ra leigh, Pete Winfrey, board super visor for the Wilmington territory, and Zeno Hollowell, supervisor for Columbus county. The clinic, twelfth in a series of such meetings, was concerned primarily with a price regulation dealing entirely with ladies’ outer wear garments, and discussion was confined to the revised regulation governing women’s, misses’, shil dren’s and toddler’s outer cloth ing. The morning session was devot ed to the preparation study of merchants’ pricing charts and the afternoon meeting to the applica tion of the charts in pricing new cost lines in the outer-wear gar ments.
