SPECIAL STOCKS BOOST RECOVERY NEW YORK, Feb. 27.—f^»)— Specialties held the recovery limelight in today's stock market until the final quarter hour when a burst of buying pushed up rails, steels, motors, rubbers, aircrafts and a wide assortment of indus trials, a number of highs for the year or longer. Reasons for the rally varied. Among these was the return of investment funds on the idea the four season reaction had served as a technical correction of the lengthy upswing. Dividends and earnings spurred individual is sues and the good war news was viewed bullishly. Gold mining securities were not particularly responsive to the congressional move to lift the price of the yellow metal although this step buoyed inflation psy chology to a certain extent.' The Associated Press 60-stock average was up .4 of a point at 61.7. first upturn since alst Tues day. Of 933 issues registering. 562 were gainers. 167 losers and 204 unchanged. Transfers totall ed 1.190.000 shares and were the smallest for a full stretch since February 9. The aggregate Mon day was 1.260.000. Secondary railway bonds were given a lift.
