Moore, Jr., former Wilmingtonian, was recently pro moted from First Sergeant to Sec ond Lieutenant for outstanding service under fire. The announce ment of the battlefield commis sion was made by General Mac Arthur’s headquarters. Lt. Moore has been serving in ttie Pacific theater for nearly 24 months with the Army Aviation Engineers and has participated in several major engagements on New Guinea and Leyte. Inez Spivey, Acme, has been pro moted from Machinist First Class to Chief Machinist Mate, it was announced recently. Spivey has been serving for the past 26 months in the Pacific theater.
