Low middling 18.35, middling 22.10, good middling 22. oO, receipts 1,537, stock 275.308. 120 RECLASSIFIED BY DRAFT BOARD Reclassification from 2-A and 2-B into 1-A of 120 white and Ne gro registrants between the ages c.t 26 and 30 has been completed by City ■ Draft Board No. 1, of ficials announced, yesterday. Induction in May and June of one-third of this number can be expected, draft officials said, as the men already have successful ly stood pre-induction physical! tests. , i The others of these draft-e'ligi bles are scheduled to take pre-in duction examinations, incident to induction, in May and June, it was said. Reclassification by the city board started April 1 in the cases of its 2-A and 2-B registrants who had not filed a DSS Form 42-A (special revised) approved by an appropriate Federal agency. Registrants unable to supply o request for deferment which has been approved by a Federal agen cy can “expect to be diafted," of ficials said. The reclassification of additional registrants is continu mg. The 15 white men the city board will send off for induction on April 25 are of “various" age groups, it was said. April 19.—(^—Op pressed by relatively heavy late profit selling on the sharp 7-session upswing, the stock market a\ er ages today suffered the first de cline since April 9. Transfers ‘ of 1,680.000 shares compared with 1,710,000 Wednes day. The Associated Press 60-stock composite was off .4 of a point at 63.9. It was another broad mar ket, 982 issues appearing. Of these, 483 were down, 295 up and 204 un changed. Secondary railway bonds were resistant. Cotton was 10 cents a bale higher to 30 cents lower. In the Curb. Public Hearing Is Held On Purviance Creek Work A public hearing on a plea for dredging to improve Purviance creek was attended by approxi mately 25 interested citizens at the customhouse yesterday morn ing. At the hearing, which opened at 10 a. m., testimony was heard as to the depth of the stream and the necessity for the work.
