Thursday Music Club Plans Meet The Thursday Morning Music Club will hold the monthly meeting on Thursday morning at 10T: 30 o’ clock in St. James Great Hall with Mrs. Eric Norden and Mrs. Miriam Burns as leaders. The subject ,of the meeting will be Form in Music. Mrs. Norden and Mrs. Burns will be presented in solos and a program will be given by members of the the school orchestra. Clausing of Ports mouth, Ohio, were married Sun day afternoon, December 30, at the home of the bride’s father, Eugene . Sumrell, in Nev. Bern. Tht Rev. Thomas W. Fryer, pas tor of the First Baptist church, officiated. The bride holds a position with the Branch Banking and Trust company in New Bern. The bride groom is the son of H. G. Claus ing of Portsmouth Ohio. He was recently discharged from the army after serving two years in the European theatre. * * * BIRTH ANNOUNCED W. O. John T. Stanley. Pfc. Borneman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Borneman of Wil mington, and is with the Air Transport Command in Memphis. Lewie Griffith Merritt, US MC, former commanding genera! of the Ninth Marine Aircraft wing here, and Mrs. Grace Blomeier were married Saturday, December 22, in the Post Chapel at* Fort Myer, Va., by Maj. Cecil Loy Propst, Fort Myer post chaplain, After the ceremony the couple left for a short wedding trip. The bride is the widow of Her bert H. Blomeier, of Belle Haven, Va., training specialist with the War Production Board until his death. She was formerly Miss Grace Marie Comeford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Comeford of New York City. General Merritt is a native oi Ridge Springs, S. C. Following duty in the Pacific, he will be or brief temporary assignment in tbs country, then will return to Hono lulu. • • • Anna Rowena Decamp, Walter W. Moses Wed At Riverside Church NEW BERN, Jan. 8. — Misi Anna Rowena Decamp and Waltei Weston Moses were married Sat urday pight, December 22, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr and Mrs. Guy Decamp, in New Bern. The Rev. A. E. Brown, pas tor of the Riverside Methodis church, officiated. The bride was attired in a sui of gold and black, with black ac cessories and a corsage of white carnations. The couple will reside at the home of the bride’s parents. Mr. Moses, son of the late Mr and Mrs. James Moses of Phoenix ■ville, Pa., was discharged frorr the army on November 26. He en tered the service in February 1942, and spent two years in the South Pacific. He now holds a po sition here with Zaytoun’s whole sale news agency. MRS. CHARLES COHEN, who before her marriage on Sunday, December 30, was Miss Evelyn Moskowitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Moskowitz. Capt. Cohen is the son of Mrs. J. Getz and the late L.
