Henderson, was the only North Carolinian among the selection made by the Univer sity of Rochester today in the selection for finalist in the fourth annual competition for five science scholarships which have a total value of $7,500. SERVICES HELD FOR MARKHAM ELIZABETH CITY May 8—(TP) —Funeral services were held here today for Thomas J. Markham, 64, U. S. Commissioner, State Representative from Pasquotank county in 1911 and 1915 and form er area rent control attorney. He died Tuesday in the University of Virginia hospital at Charlottes ville.
