Pound into both sides of round steak. Brown on both sides in skillet in hoi shortening. Add boiling water. Covei tightly; cook very slowly 1 hour, 01 until tender. Remove steak to hot plat ter; keep hot. Stir milk into liquid re maining in skillet. Heat slowly, but do not boil. Pour over the steak. Serve with stuffed baked potatoes and creamed peas. Makes 4 servings.
