The 11-months year for the li brary, Mrs. MacMillan explained, ' was adopted tljis year to make I the fiscal year run concurrently • with that of the city government. A total of 43,648 books were ' circulated by the mobile unit in ■*; that 11-months period, the report showed. BOYD ELECTED VP AT MEETING Other Officers Named At Airport Managers As sociation Convention Henry Boyd, Jr., was elected vice president of the Southeastern Airport managers association at the second meeting of the organi zation held yesterday in Columbia, S. C. Boyd, manager of Bluethenthal Airport, was named with two other officers. They were 0. L. Andrew* of Greenville, S. C. president; and J Hampton Manning, Augusta, Ga., secretary-treasurer. The meeting yesterday in Colum bia followed the initial meeting in Greenville, S. C. on June 4th. At that time a temporary chairman was appointed and it was agreed to elect officers at the Columbia session. Speakers for the meeting were Charles E. Hanst, chief of the air port management of the second region of the Civil Aeronautics as sociation and C. E. Jones, former state highway commissioner of South Carolina. Fourteen airport managers of N. C.. S C. and Ga., were present in addition to guests and visited Capitol _Airport, serving Columbia and Lexington county. The airport managers voted to meet sometime in October in Savannah, Ga.
