SENIOR SCOUTS GUEST OF NAVY Four Local Boys Attend Annual Rendevous At Naval Air Station Four Wilmington Senior Scouts were part of the 258 Senior Scouts who spent last week as guests of the Navy during the Scout’s An nual Rendevous at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Fla. Included in the events of the week were flights in Naval Air craft, lecture and discussion groups concerning the history ot aviation, explanation of engines, hydraulics and radio, “flights” in Link trainers, and a cruise up the St. Johns River to Green Cove Springs to view the ships of the Florida group of the Atlantic Re serve Fleet. On Wednesday the entire group boarded the USS McClelland, Jack sonville's Naval.Reserve Destroy er Escort, for a day’s cruise in the Atlantic, where a simulated at tack was staged on the ship by thirteen TBM’s. RED CROSS SCHOOL BREVARD, Aug. 13 —— The national Red Cross announced to day it will open a 10-day acuatic school to train instructors in wa ter safety, first aid and accident prevention at Camp Carolina here Monday.
