smashed into a post. Joseph Cutrfj-

picked up Mr. Johnson and brought
him to St. Agnes Hospital He ar
rived at the hospital at 4:29 and
died at 6:10. Dr. W. F. Clark, at
tending physician, said that upon
examination, he found that Mr.
Johnson had no pulse nor blood
pressure. He administered a plas
ma. but that the old champion fail'-
ed to rally. He died of Interna) in

The accident happened on a curve

traveling companion, Fred L. Scott,
was invited to Lufkin, Texas, by
Milt Hinkle, promoter, to hav* a
