jury service in Cobb County was <
attacked last Monday by Dan
Duke, a forme; Assistant Attor
ney General of Georgia who gain
ed national prominence by pres
editing the Ku Klux Klan and j
Columbians, Inc., an organization
whose activities were directed a
gainst Jews and colored people.
According to Mr. Duke, the dr
vice of putting the names of col
ored persons on sheets of yellow
paper was used to exclude colored
persons from jury 7 service.
The names of white persons are
listed on white slips, thus permit
ting easy identification, Mr. Duke
said.
Defending a teen-age colored
boy convicted on charges of as
sault and battery, Mr, Duke at
tacked the indictment against the
