In the speaker's discourse, she paid tribute to this active group of women and stressed the need for contributions to the polio foundation. The club accepted the soiiclta j tion of funds from Negro busi j nesses. i Members present were the pres ident, Mrs. Gertrude Latham, Mes dames Mary Brewington. Last Wednesday afternoon Clast 3A had a doll show- There were many dolls exhibited, small and large ones, pretty and most beau tiful ones. Prizes were given for the largest, tha most beautiful and the oddest doll. Mrs. L, J. Sledge is teacher. We don't know what the pro ceeds were but w« do know, the show was a grand success.
