ence gave Mr. Hooker a standing
ovation. His encore consisted of
three selections.
At the close of the program, Mr.
Hooker voluntarily offered to lis
ten to any music student who was
desirous of playing for him. Many
took advantage of this opportunity.
Presently, Mr. Hooker is serving
as the permanent conductor of the
Virginia Symphony.
The Second Lyceum Program,
which will be based on Negro His
tory, will be held Thursday, Feb.
13, on the college campus.
