The hew name, approved by the University Trustees’ Exe cutive Committee, will be the School of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Dr. H. Brooks James, dean of the school said the new name reflects Vie increasing importance of the bi ological or life sciences. The School of Agriculture has been developing program in such life sciences as genetics, zoology, plant pathology, entomology, bo tany and bacteriology. Dean .James pointed out that while these sciences form the basis for much of modern agriculture, their importance is not limited to agriculture.
