Diggs claimed, Hicks tried to get two other Fuquay men to take the gun and hide it. The weapon was taken to a barber shop to th* same block, but recovered by police offi cers. Diggs signed a warrant against Hicks for assault with a deadly weapon and the defendant was placed in Wake County Jail under a S2OO bond. STOLEN AUTO RECOVERED John Person of 1018 Walnut SL informed Officer C. J. William# Saturday that he parked his car to a lot in back of his home, and when he returned for it at 10:30 pm. It was missing. The car was recovered Sunday at th* comer of Hill and Pender Streets by Officers L. M. Smith and F. C. Gregory. A small knife blade was broken off into the switch. PORTABLE TV STOLEN Officers James (Bobby) Day* and Joseph Winters discovered a break-in while prowling at 3:36 a. m. Monday at Dunaton’a Texaco Service Station, 418 S. East Street.
