Hazel Pope Williams of CM Price Street entertained the Idle* A-While Social Club at her home last Thursday evening. She served a delightful buffet style dinner of turkey and "all the trimmings.’* Mrs. Elizabeth Pridgeon. vice* president presided over the meet ing while the president took on her duties as hostess. Her guests for the evening were Mrs. Lucy Hawes, Mrs. Ella Pope and Mrs. Lillie Taylor of New York, an hon orary member of the club. Members enjoyed several pro gression* of pinochle with the high score winner being Mrs. Louise Nunn, while Mr*. Louise Walker got low score prize. Mrs. Lilli* Taylor was presented a gift also. She taught school for two yean after finishing normal school, be fore becoming the bride of the Rev Thomas K. Copeland In April of 1910. There were eight children born of this marriage, six erf whom are still living. There are two daugh ters. Mra. BrereKe E. Ricks and Mrs. Aaron Herrington of Long Beach. California and four sons. Mrs. Copeland led a very active life until her health failed. She ana very active in activities of the First Baptist Church and the Bishop Tuttle Mother's Club. She was a devoted mother and wife.
