Herman (Red) Muir, owner of
Muir’s Restaruant, followed his At
lsnta counterpart Lester Maddox
of Maddox’s Restaurant, in prevent

went a bit further than Maddox,
and now is under arrest charged
with assault in the hammer-beat
ing of a Negro and a white news
photographer.
