Records were presented and judged end award* were mad* to tho individ ual who had the best record in Oxford. It prdmotia the well being of the fu ture. As a ydung adult, I realise that I mu*t li*d others In the fu ture. The echlevemadts that I h*v* made in 4-H Dub work will enable tee to ha a leader for tomorrow. I wish to extend my sincertst appreciation to those individuals who have made the 4-H Dub a worthwhile organisation in the eemmunity. * --- - * - M HSn. The es sential sewing tools were exhibit ed on a pegboard in the booth. The demonstrators showed how to mark darts, do directional stitch ing, directional pressing over tho ham or press cushion; how to makt bias loop* and facings for trimming with the use of the bodkin, and the uao of the essential sewing tools. LLOYD A—. Afrlcaltnral Exteneiea Agent OXFORD—The annual 4-H Poul try Chain Show and Salt waa hold hero recently. Ten 4-H Club boyi and girls ex hibited and Mid fourteen well de veloped Harco-red pullete each; a total of 140 birda. The pullets were judged by Mr. T. B. Morris, OX tenaion poultry specialist, State College. These ten 4-H Club chain member a exemplified good feeding and management practices which resulted in very good quality birda. Boya and glrla exhibiting blue ribbon birda were: Eugene Wll liama of Route 1. Creedmoor, Miaaee Margaret Sue Daniela, Joshlyn Har ria and Helen Marie McAfee, all of Route 2. Virgilina, Va„ Bernard Young of Route 5, Oxford, Them a* Caah of Route 4, Oxford, GaddU FaulcOn of Route 1, JClttrell, and Mica Luey Mae Allen, of Route 2, Oxford. Red ribbon winnert were Ken neth E. Daniela of Route 1, Creed moor, and Charlie Fields, Jr. of Route 1, Oxford. Blue ribbon win nert received SB.OO caah; red rib bon winner received $6.00 each. Ribbon and each awarda were pro vided throuhg the courteay of the Sears-Roebuck Foundation. Jee Cutta, of Oxford, auctioned off the birda.
