2 top. cinnamon 4 cups sifted flour
RoU into one-inch balls with henAe, Bake on szeiMd
cookie sheet for 18 minutes at 860°;
- Honig Kitchen
1 cup honey 2 cups sifted flour
1 cup sugar %tap.salt
2 tbsp. orange juice 2-2/8 cups almoods
1 os. such citron, orange, lemon peels
% tap. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice
Heat honey. Add sugar and juice. Grind peels, blanched
almonds. Add to sugar. Add dour and other dry ingredi
ents. Cover and chill 8 days. Roll thin and cut with
i floured cutter in heart shapes, topping with Almond.
| Bake on greased sheets 8 to 10 minutes in 826° oven.
• Frost with mixture of confectioner’s sugar, orange juice
and grated rind. Store in airtight container two weeks.

homes. A luncheon was served and

crafts and favors

Garden Club had its annual Christ
mas party where friends were in
vited and new members joined.
There was ao much tun that it was
hard to leave at 11:00 p. m.
Wednesday, the Brownies were
busy making Christmas gifts and
home decorations. Thursday, not to
much fun, but a groat health pro
tection, as the nuree came on the
scene. Friday, the Nureey School
gi 'nips are at work on their Christ
mas drooling* fur thslr patents.
Saturday, the Otrl Scouts party
wilt be held, from four to eta. The
Feta Li tea will meet from 1:00 p. m.
to 4:10 p m. and • *-N party Is
scheduled for 8.00 p, m. Sunday

hour radio summary of weekly civ
il rights event* over Radio Station
WWRL at 8 p. m. Saturday night,
it was announced last week.
The "National Civil Right*
Roundup" will report and analyse
developments in the area of race
relations, according to Frank Ward,
station manager. It is the League's
first regular weekly radio program.
